Getting Here
South Bend International Airport (SBN)
The nearest airport is South Bend International, just a few miles from the IUSB campus. Rideshare and taxi service are readily available from the terminal.
Driving
South Bend is accessible via the Indiana Toll Road (I-80/90) from the east and west, and via US-31 from Indianapolis. IUSB is located at 1700 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend, IN 46615. Free visitor parking is available in designated lots on campus.
School Bus Transportation
School groups coordinating bus transportation should contact the outreach team early. We are working with partners on transportation support for schools in the region.
Indiana University South Bend
BLOOM 2027 takes place at Indiana University South Bend. The opening welcome and story pitch session are held in the auditorium. Workshops run in IUSB classrooms, and a catered lunch is served in the campus dining area. An optional reception closes the day.

Day-Of Tips
- • Arrive by 8:45 AM for check-in. The welcome session begins promptly at 9:00 AM.
- • Bring a notebook, your curiosity, and a story idea or environmental issue you care about.
- • A catered lunch is provided for all students and guests. No need to bring food.
- • February in northern Indiana means variable weather. Dress in layers and plan for cold mornings.
