BLOOM is built for you. A one-day environmental journalism conference for high school students across northern Indiana.
Whether you have written for your school paper for years or you have never published a word, BLOOM is for you. The day is structured to give every student real, finished work to take home: a pitch, a draft, a short film concept, or a photo essay.

Lunch is provided for every student attendee at no cost.

Build skills across environmental issues, journalism craft, and your chosen medium.
Post-conference mentorship
Strong pitches are matched with a mentor from ASIU or YEPT to refine and publish the work.
Publication on YEPT.org
Completed student work is published as part of the YEPT collaborative magazine and the 89 Percent Project.
